Variety at Work in October 2019

We continue to have requests for uniforms, school shoes and clothes for toddlers along with some requests for food. At the request of Health Visitors we bought baby items, a high chair and a pram for single parent Mums. We also bought a washing machine for a single parent Mum with 3 children as her machine had irreparably broken down. We paid for glasses for two children from separate families who have ongoing sight problems. At the request of the Paediatric Occupational Therapist we paid for 2 specialised beds for children who have quite severe disabilities. We also paid towards a school trip, again for a child from a low income single parent family.

The totals for this first month of our financial year are 24 families with 59 children amounting to £4,841. 04.

Children’s Christmas Party

This will be held on Friday 6th December at the Hotel de Normandie at 6.30pm. The invitations are going out as I write.
